Teknovus is the leading developer and supplier of EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Networking) access chips and embedded software for FTTx access networks. Teknovus EPON chips and embedded software are designed into end-to-end FTTx solutions sold by major communications equipment providers including Alcatel Shanghai Bell, CyberTAN, Dasan, Dongwon, Fiberhome, Fujitsu, Furukawa, Hitachi, Huawei, Mitsubishi, NEC, Salira, Suminet, Sumitomo, Ubiquoss, ZTE, and Zyxel. For timely development and advanced feature support, Teknovus provides system vendors with deployment-ready software that has undergone rigorous qualification via automated regression testing, in addition to hardware development and evaluation platforms.

Teknovus’ OLT solution enables service providers to transform their Central Offices for triple-play service deployment over fiber, thereby securing revenue streams from advanced video services. The ONU solutions are tailored to meet the varying requirements of service providers, such as industry-standard pluggable small form factor solutions enabling traditional switch/router and CPE/gateway vendors to rapidly enter the fiber-network market.

Teknovus’ Turbo-EPON™ solution for higher speeds provides a smooth roadmap for fulfilling subscriber bandwidth demand without replacing deployed ONU equipment. In addition, Teknovus Turbo-EPON fulfills MDU/MTU density requirements. Teknovus’ next step is Turbo-XPON (10G EPON), meeting the fastest speeds standardized by the IEEE.
