TK3714

Turbo-EPON™ (1/2.5Gbps) Optical Network Unit System-on-Chip

TK3714

The TK3714 is the industry’s first dual-speed (1.25/2.5Gbps), auto-sensing Optical Network Unit (ONU) chip, enabling service providers to deploy triple-play services over fiber optic networks. The TK3714 is a complete System-on-Chip (SoC) for Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON), integrating an IEEE802.3ah-compliant EPON MAC, CPU, and memory.

As a member of Teknovus’ line of gigabit EPON chips–the only chips that fully support EPON IPTV and triple-play services–the TK3714 revolutionizes Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions through optimal integration, low-power, and high-performance.

Designed for both business and residential Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) applications, the TK3714 provides all the built-in functionality and performance required for ONUs delivering triple-play services. The TK3714 features a unique 8 Logical Links architecture which delivers guaranteed SLA rates for both per-subscriber and per-service contracts by supporting up to 8 dedicated links for performance-sensitive bi-directional services such as VoIP and IPTV.
