TK3715

Turbo-EPON™ (1.25/2.5Gbps) Optical Network Unit System-on-Chip with China Interoperability Support

TK3715

The TK3715 is a dual-speed (1.25/2.5Gbps), auto-sensing Optical Network Unit (ONU) chip with support for China’s interoperability standard, enabling service providers to deploy triple-play services over fiber optic networks. The TK3715 is a complete System-on-Chip (SoC) for Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON), integrating an IEEE802.3ah-compliant EPON MAC, CPU, and memory.

As a member of Teknovus’ line of gigabit EPON chips–the only chips that fully support EPON IPTV and triple-play services–the TK3715 revolutionizes Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions through optimal integration, low-power, and high-performance.

Designed for both business and residential Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) applications, the TK3715 provides all the built-in functionality and performance required for ONUs delivering triple-play services. The TK3715 features a unique 8 Logical Links architecture which delivers guaranteed SLA rates for both per-subscriber and per-service contracts by supporting up to 8 dedicated links for performance-sensitive bi-directional services such as VoIP and IPTV.

The TK3715 is compatible with all Teknovus Optical Line Terminal (OLT) chips and is easily managed from the OLT using standard 802.3ah OAM messaging and China OAM extensions. With its feature-rich architecture and cost-effective functionality, the TK3715 chip is the best solution for ONUs delivering cost-effective triple-play services over FTTB and FTTH access networks in China.
